Mistakenly used Chloride in an iron filter instead of permanganate. Is resin bed ruined?

I moved into a legislative body with an existing iron filter. Last owner thought it was a softener and used potassium chloride as contrasted with of potassium permanganate. The reservoir is a solid clump of Chloride, but my affair is for the resin bed.

OMG!!! Is there any way that you can get into a just the same from time to time machine, and go back to before you screwed up? Otherwise you must move to another house. Try to be more careful in the future, please.
