If remarkable guests are anything to go by, then INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA 2010 will be, without a doubt, the extensive highlight of the viticulture year. The trade fair for the wine, fruit, fruit essence and spirits industry will welcome German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the episode on 24 March as guest speaker at the IVIF foothold evening. Present at the opening of the IVIF Congress that morning will be President of the Oecumenical Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), Yves Bénard, along with Mireia Torres from the Catalonian wine emporium of the same name and Prof. Klaus Töpfer, former Foremost of the United Nations Environment Programme and today Founding Number one of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies. The German Winegrowers' Conjunction (DWV), together with partner organisations of the wine, fruit, fruit essence and spirits industry, as well as the IVIF congress, all stand behind the same proverb: "Quality, sustainability, market: Driving forces for modernization".
